Desert View Bible Church encourages its people to demonstrate God’s compassion and love globally.
The following global organizations are currently supported corporately by Desert View:
Andy & Margaret Andersen, Africa Inland Mission (AIM)
Andy and Margaret Andersen are serving in Tanzania in East Africa. They live in Kahunda on the southwest shore of Lake Victoria, where Andy travels to the islands of the lake, teaching and setting up churches.
Margaret is now the administrator of the recently started Lake Victoria Christian Academy, a new school for local children.
There are thousands of people who make their living on the islands and coast of Lake Victoria. Many of the islands and villages are remote with few, if any, churches. The Andersens serve the Lord by filling this void.

Mike & Stacy Wiebe with Campus Crusade for Christ
Mike and Stacy Wiebe are members of Desert View, and Mike is a past member of the Board of Shepherds. The Wiebes currently serve in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, where Mike trains local believers preparing to become pastors in other parts of India. Stacy is a writer and editor of newsletters, and she also blogs for Campus Crusade for Christ.
Mike and Stacy are also actively mentoring local leaders of the Powerhouse Church of Chennai, which has seen wonderful growth in the past couple of years. Powerhouse Church ministers in small “cell-style” congregations spread around the greater Chennai area. With a population of over 10 million, the development of local congregations makes it easier to reach a greater part of the community.

Wheels for the World, a division of Joni and Friends – Bob and Sheila Downey
Missions are often seen as preaching the Gospel and helping the poor. Wheels for the World is a marvelous melding of these two things. By supplying wheel chairs, walkers and canes to the lame or infirm people of the poor countries of the world, this ministry gains incredible opportunities to share the love and eternal life of Jesus Christ.
Our own members, Bob and Sheila Downey, minister in Ghana of West Africa. They arrange for the donations of refurbished wheel chairs and other needed apparatus to be delivered, fitted and distributed to the very poor and destitute people of Ghana.
If you are seeking a worthwhile organization to support, you will not find one more rewarding than Wheels for the World.
