Desert View Kids is a place where kids, birth through 5th grade, learn about our amazing God and how much He loves them! We provide fun, age-appropriate activities to engage kids and meet them where they are at on their journey to becoming life-long disciples of Christ. Our staff and volunteer leaders provide a safe, welcoming environment where kids experience belonging and feel known. We strive to partner with you as parents in your challenging role as the primary disciple-makers in your child’s life. Our ultimate goal is that all of our kids would grow to Live for God, Love each other, and Build God’s Kingdom!
Nursery and Pre-School (ages 0-5, Sundays at 9 & 10:45am): Our nursery classrooms (Babies and Toddlers under 2) are safe, fun environments for our little explorers to experience the love of God. Our Preschool classes (ages 2-5) participate in directed free play, music, crafts, and games that reinforce the Bible story and strive to engage the sense of wonder that God has placed in our young explorers. Elementary School (Grades K-5, Sundays at 10:45am): Our elementary program is designed to not only teach our kids about God and His amazing Word, but also to engage them in a way that will create true heart change. Our curriculum takes the kids through the Bible every year, highlighting different stories over a three-year cycle. Kids View Theater is our fun, high-energy, large group worship experience. Our Kids View Worship Crew leads the kids in interactive worship and our engaging, large group leaders use their creativity to draw the kids into our Bible story every week. Our Kids View Elementary classes run Sunday mornings during our 10:45am service. Kids' Discipleship Program (Ages 3 - 5th grade, Wednesdays 6:30-8pm: AWANA is our children’s mid-week discipleship program that offers scripture memorization, Bible study, and fun games to encourage kids to grow closer to Jesus. Desert View Bible Church offers AWANA for preschool- 5th grade on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 pm during the school year. Each child will get their own handbook for memorizing scripture and completing bible study lessons on the scriptures. Kids will receive awards for lessons completed to decorate their AWANA vests and shirts. The cost associated with AWANA covers vests, books, and awards. It will not exceed $40 per student for the year. We also offer scholarships for any family that needs assistance. Trail Life USA (ages 5-17) is a Church-Based, Christ-Centered, Boy-Focused mentoring and discipleship journey that speaks to the heart of a boy. Established on timeless values derived from the Bible and set in the context of outdoor adventure, boys from age 5 to 17 are engaged in a Troop setting by male mentors, where they are challenged to grow in character, understand their purpose, serve their community, and develop practical leadership skills to carry out the mission for which they were created. Trail Life is more than a boy’s program. It’s a strategic men’s ministry—a catalyst that calls men to step up, link arms, and raise up the next generation of bold, godly leaders. This ministry engages men to guide and serve boys while letting boys be boys within a uniquely masculine program where their assertive, audacious, and adventurous nature is celebrated, not sequestered.

Courageous Kids is our buddy ministry to kids with special needs. We consider it an incredible privilege to minister to your child. Our goal is to provide a safe, caring environment where your child will have fun and will learn how much they are loved by our amazing God!
Because Courageous Kids is catered to the specific needs of your child, we ask that you please contact our Director of Children's Ministry, Grace Chenoweth, prior to bringing your child for the first time, so that we can assess how to best meet your child's needs and provide a wonderful experience for them!
Safety & Security
All of our Desert View Kids’ Volunteers are background and referenced checked before they serve with our kids. We use the KidCheck Secure Check-In System to simplify the check-in and pick-up process and to ensure that no one can pick up your child without your consent.
