Sandy Mason is a graduate of Arizona State University, where he met his wife Margie and where Jesus found them both. He has a Master in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is "dad" to two sons and two daughters, all grown, and "Papa" to four grandchildren. He loves his life with Margie, opening their home to friends and family, watching football, horse-back riding and a form of golf. Executive Director of Ministry Development
Margie Mason grew up in a military family and lived all over the United States. She has a BS in Nursing from ASU, where she was introduced to Jesus and her husband of 40 years, Sandy Mason, the senior pastor. She has four children and four grandchildren. She oversees the administration of the church and staff. Her passion is teaching others to study the Bible for themselves.

Kit grew up in Phoenix and graduated from the UofA where he played outside linebacker for the Wildcats (never losing to ASU). After graduating he earned his M.Div from Western Seminary in 1994. Kit and his wife Julie, an ASU & GCU grad and public school administrator, have been married since 1991 and have three children, two in college and one married.
Worship Arts Director
Mike Bohlmann is a Phoenix native and a graduate of Grand Canyon University and received his Master of Arts Degree from Wheaton College. Mike spent the first half of his career in Christian counseling until the Lord led him into full time music ministry in 2003. Mike married his beautiful wife Angi in 1993 and has two girls, Audrey (18) and Carissa (14). Mike directs the Worship Arts Ministry and also assists members of our church family to get connected to counseling needs.
Director of Youth Ministry - 9-12th Grades
Craig was born in Montana, but grew up in Flagstaff. He graduated from Southwestern College in 2010 with a degree in Christian Ministries. Craig and his wife, Brittany, have a son, Camden, who was two in November. Craig has been in youth ministry for over 8 years.
Director of Children's Ministry
Terri Mackmer grew up in Rochester, NY and moved to Phoenix with her family in 2008. She married Paul in 2001 and they have 3 kids. Terri spent the first 10 years of her professional career in Corporate Finance. Since then she has enjoyed staying home with her children, but she is excited that God brought her on staff at Desert View in 2012. Terri currently helps coordinate and support our wonderful Preschool volunteer team as well as anything and everything related to our Birth-age 5 Preschool classrooms on Sunday mornings. She also helps out as needed with our Kindergarten through 4th Grade volunteers and classrooms.
Director of Connections & Prayer
Karen grew up in southern California as a pastor's kid, and moved to Arizona in 1980.She worked over 30 years in the Arizona legal community as a legal secretary and paralegal. Karen has a BA in Bible from Biola University. She enjoys trips to visit family and friends, which include many opportunities to photograph God's awesome creation. Karen has 3 sons and 7 grandchildren. Her passion is prayer and worship, along with helping people get connected at DVBC.
Director of Finance & Facility
Don was born and raised in Indiana. He moved to Arizona in 2006 after retiring from the General Contracting and Real Estate Development firm that he owned for 25 years. Don and Dena were married in 1980, and they have 3 grown children, a daughter-in-law and one granddaughter. In 2013 Don co-founded Belay Global, an international mission organization serving those living and working in the most challenging places in the world. He is currently collaborating with partners in Rwanda on several Hydro-Electric power projects for villages in the northern part of the country.
Assistant Director of Facilities & Benevolence
Mike Baker was born in California and moved to Arizona in 1965. After graduating from ASU, Mike became a member of the P.G.A. After 10 years as a golf pro, he spent the next 27 years as a successful national businessman. Mike was one of the 4 original Shepherds of Desert View. In Oct. 2009, Mike joined the DVBC staff as the Business Administrator. He currently serves as Director of Benevolence and is a Dave Ramsey Financial Coach. Mike has been married for 47 years to Debbie (a Phoenix native).They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren, all living in the Valley.
Beth Scott grew up in a small town in Iowa. She has been married to Bill for 17 years and they have two boys, Caleb (14) and Derek (10). They moved to Phoenix in 2007. Beth has worked in the finance ministry at Desert View since September of 2012.
Krista was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. She has attended Desert View for twelve years and serves on the worship team and in the High School ministry. She has a passion for people, prayer, and ministry and is excited to see how the Lord will work in her career here at DVBC.
Bonnie Lewis was born in Arizona but grew up on the east coast. After returning to the valley, she completed her BS in Psychology at Biola Univeristy. She’s the youngest of four and the daughter of Sandy and Margie Mason. Bonnie earned her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary in 2015 and now is a practicing therapist in Scottsdale. Bonnie has served and/or worked in ministry for over 14 years. Currently, she is the ministry assistant to Sandy and Margie Mason. Bonnie married Joshua Lewis on February 11, 2017.
Youth Ministry Assistant
Jacquelyn Mosher was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. She married her husband in 2004 and they have three children. Before becoming a stay at home Mom and medical transcriptionist, Jacquelyn managed teams providing technical support for hotel management software. She joined the Kids in the Word team in 2015 and is excited to be a part of the Youth Ministry team here at DVBC.
Cindy Watson grew up in Iowa and had her first ‘official’ date with her husband, Gary for her 14th birthday. Married since 1966, they have 3 daughters, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. After living in 5 different states, the Watsons landed in Omaha where Cindy completed her Bachelor of Music Education degree at UNO and taught K-9th grade music in the Omaha Public Schools. The Watsons moved to Phoenix in 1986 and started attending DVBC the first Sunday at the ‘Church in the Box.’ Cindy joined the staff in 2006 and is currently the ministry assistant for worship, adult, and prayer ministries.
Youth & Worship Ministry Assistant
Adam Crane was born in Indianapolis, IN and moved to Phoenix in 2002 to attend Grand Canyon University, where he received a Bachelor's in Christian Education with an emphasis in Biblical Studies and Youth Ministries. Adam leads the Youth Ministry worship team and is involved in the creative arts and tech ministry.
Stephen Greer is originally from Ireland, but moved to the Phoenix Valley two years ago after graduating from the Irish Bible Institute. Shortly after moving to Arizona, he met his now wife, Lauren, and they have just celebrated their first anniversary. Stephen has a heart for reaching young adults and leads the Live Young ministry here at Desert View.
Middle School Intern
Tate is currently attending GCU, majoring in Biblical Studies. He is the son of Kit & Julie Abbott and has an older brother, Jake, and a younger sister, Kaylee. Tate has a passion and desire to advance the Kingdom and to meet students where they are while brnging them closer to the arms of Christ.
Worship Ministry Intern
John is a Senior at Grand Canyon University, majoring in Worship Arts (a musically, theologically and Biblically based program preparing him to be a Worship Pastor). John felt God's calling on his life to be a Worship Pastor when he was 18 years old and desires to bring the gospel to those who do not know Him through worship. He grew up in a loving, Christian family, and has three siblings. He loves to play guitar, piano, or any instrument that he can get his hands on.
